A watch is a case, a dial and a strap, and all three are on permanent display, so there is nowhere for any of them to hide. The case holds the line, the dial does the reading, and the strap decides whether you keep it on your wrist or in a drawer.

Where the money goes, and where it does not

A watch is a small object with a long list of separate operations in it. Case finishing, dial work, the crystal, the bracelet and the clasp that closes it are each their own cost, and each one is a place where a cheaper watch saves money in a way you only find out about later.

None of that was cut here. What was removed is the part that has nothing to do with the watch: the display case, the shop floor, the distributor taking a cut on the way. We sell direct, so the retail margin that normally sits on top of a watch built like this is simply not in the price. You are paying for the watch, and for nothing that had to carry it to you.
