The shirt that does the work for you
The polo exists because somebody wanted a shirt they could move in. That is still the whole point, and it is why it survives every change in taste.
With trousers it reads smart; with shorts it reads easy. The shirt does not change, only the room does.

Collar, placket, cuff
Two places, and both are here. The collar is knitted as its own piece and set on rather than cut from the body cloth, which is what decides whether it still stands after a year. And the placket is built as a separate strip, which is why the front falls as one line whether it is open or closed.

What you are actually paying for
Most of the cost in a polo is in the collar: knitted as its own piece and set on, rather than cut from the body cloth. Ribbed cuffs are the other line, and together they are most of the difference between a polo you keep and one you stop reaching for.

How does the fit run?
Close at the shoulder with room through the body. Take your usual size. If you are between two and want it closer to the body, take the smaller one.
Can I wear it tucked in?
Either way. The cut falls clean left out and tucks without bunching at the waist.
How do I wash it?
Cool, inside out, and dry it flat rather than on a hanger — that is what keeps the shoulders and the collar where they should be.
What arrives in the parcel?
