Will they suit my face?
Go on the shape rather than the size. One size, and the temples have enough give to sit level on most faces.
Do they actually protect my eyes?
Yes — the lenses block ultraviolet, which is the part that matters. A dark lens without that does the opposite of helping, because the pupil opens behind it.
What does polarised change?
It cuts the glare bouncing off flat surfaces — road, water, car bonnets. The scene stops being bright and starts being clear, which is a different thing.
How do I clean them?
Rinse the lenses under cool water and dry them with a soft cloth. Dry-wiping dust across a lens is what puts the fine scratches there, so wet first.
